Zach Veach is an American racing driver, who has climbed the Mazda Road to Indy ladder system to become a Verizon Indy Car driver. On April 23rd , 2017 Zach made his Verizon IndyCar Debut at Barber Motorsports Park driving for Ed Carpenter Racing and will be making his Indy500 debut for AJ Foyt Racing May 28th 2017 driving the Indy Women in Tech Champion presented by Guggenheim sponsored Chevy.
Zach has been pursuing his dream of auto racing for the past ten years. Following his early start in karting in 2007 at the age of twelve where he began racing at Circleville Raceway Park in Circleville Ohio. In 2010 transitioned from karting to USF2000 when he was signed by Andretti Auto Sport as a developmental driver. Over the next 4 seasons Zach climbed the Mazda Road to Indy Ladder with Andretti competing in USF2000, ProMazda and IndyLights. In 2016 after setting out of the 2015 season due to an injury, Zach returned to IndyLights with Belardi Autosport. In his 6 year Mazda Road to Indy Career, Zach has recorded 13 Wins, 14 Poles, 39 Podiums and 56 Top Five Finishes.
When not in the car, Zach is an avid rock climber and environmental activist. As well as the national spokesperson for several campaigns including the “Young Marines.” A youth organization that promotes a healthy, drug free lifestyle for children ages eight to eighteen.
